Frankfurt Musikmesse 2005

For the first time Belgian music publishers were able to present themselves as a group to the many thousands of visitors at the annual International Musikmesse in Frankfurt.

Semu provided this opportunity to the music publisher members. Not only the publishers themselves, but also all composers and authors were given a platform.

In pursuance of most European countries we opted for one large joint stand where all music publishers were able to profile themselves accordingly. The reactions of both visitors and publishers were positive all along the line. For this reason our attendance at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt will become an annual tradition. We are currently looking at the other international specialised fairs (Chicago-Mid West, Tokyo, Paris)

In any case, our aim is to provide more animation at the stands in the future and to involve the composers. We were thinking about 2 live performances of Belgian pieces a day at the stand. This will allow us to put a number of composers in the spotlight.
